06/18/201806/18/20182 Comments A Caprese Salad is a dish near and dear to my heart. It contains fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, and basil. Three of my favorite things…yes, I sang that. If you don’t know why… I don’t know if we can be friends. I have seen this recipe on social media and it looks so good. Its […]
A Summertime Favorite We love pimento cheese in the summer months, but in all honesty.. we love it all year. It’s a good cold sandwich maker that isn’t too hard on the tummy. If you are veggie lover like me, you’ll love this on cucumbers, celery and even on a romaine lettuce leaf!! I don’t […]
Happy Birthday to the Hubbyman!!! There is no better way to celebrate the hubbyman than by cooking him a steak. Any steak, cooked anyway with any sauce. Sides optional! He is a meat and taters kinda feller… but he does have a sense of adventure when it comes to food…. except seafood… lets just not […]
Olives.. you either love them or hate them. Well we love them… I have been an olive lover since I was a toddler. I love them all.. I haven’t met an olive that I don’t adore. This recipe is one that I make a lot in the fall and winter months, but I had a […]
Ah, Summer… it just screams ice cream doesn’t it? I personally believe that ice cream, sherbet and all their cousins are okay all year round… but… in Summer, they just hit the spot… that hot spot, when you’re covered in Carolina humidity… man, its hot! I like to make my own … here is one […]

04/18/2018Leave a comment Pico de Gallo is traditionally diced small and used as a salsa and topping for a lot of Mexican dishes, but I think it rocks as a wonderful tomato salad too. I saw Ree make a larger pico on The Pioneer Woman, and I have been wanting to try it ever since, […]
That BFF of mine was in the hospital yesterday. She is so sick, she has pleurisy that came from a really bad cold… that mess is so bad. We have all been sick, it has hit our community bad this year. I blame this insane weather… Flip Flops one day and Boots the next… seriously, one […]
I have been wanting to try a tater tot casserole for awhile now. Yes, that’s right… I have never had one, let alone made one… so this is a double first. First time making it and the first time tasting it… and I am happy with both. It’s really good… kinda like an odd Shepard’s […]
09/17/2016Leave a comment I have a confession, I am addicted to olives. All olives. I do not think I have met an olive that I haven’t loved. This Olive and Feta Medley is so good and you CAN buy it already made; however the price for 3 ounces runs about $4.00 and you get mostly oil. […]

07/26/201807/26/2018Leave a comment I was going to title this Melody’s Chicken Salad and in my mind that is exactly what it is. My daughter adores chicken or turkey ( a Thanksgiving leftover staple) salad with grapes. I like it with the grapes … I also like to kick in a few Granny Smith Apples from […]
