Kids love pizza, okay I love pizza too. This is a quick lunch, it’s fun and it tastes really good. I don’t think I would call this a recipe, maybe I will just call it a Kitchen Idea. The kids are gonna love ya. Four to six pieces of loaf bread 1/2 can of tomato […]
01/04/201801/04/2018Leave a comment Today we had the first and possibly the only SnOw DaY on the North Carolina Coast for 2018! There is an old wives tale, you can’t eat the first snow, well I am a rebel… and since there is a good chance that we will not get any more of the white […]
01/18/201901/19/2019Leave a comment Nothing says Be Mine like chocolate. Chocolate has been the center of Valentine’s Day since the late 1800s, no really… I looked it up ( Ahhh Goggle, what would I do without you? ) What better way to say I love you than to make your sweetie homemade chocolates! Did I mention […]
Welcome Fall !!! The first thing I think of when Fall comes back around is comfort food. In coastal North Carolina it may be Fall on the Calendar, but the thermometer says otherwise. I wanted the feel of comfort but not in this heat! PIMENTO CHEESE!! It’s easy to make, but not too heavy. This […]
01/28/2018Leave a comment Last week my daughter and I had the pleasure of game night with a couple of friends. We played Fibbage… have you played that game? I highly recommend it!! So fun, anyway…. our wonderful hostess made a Hot Pimento Cheese Dip… and yes, I had never had it before, shocking I know. […]
07/26/201807/26/2018Leave a comment I was going to title this Melody’s Chicken Salad and in my mind that is exactly what it is. My daughter adores chicken or turkey ( a Thanksgiving leftover staple) salad with grapes. I like it with the grapes … I also like to kick in a few Granny Smith Apples from […]
05/17/201705/17/2017Leave a comment I am not sure who invented the stuffed pepper, but I want to thank them… They have to be one of my many favorite meals.. But since going low carb ( I have lost 16 pounds) I wanted to create a version that I could eat and not have the rice or […]
12/20/20172 Comments I can’t decide which I love more; Christmas or Cookies? It’s a constant tug-o-war in my life. No, really…it is. I don’t bake very much in the warmer months, I am actually not much of a baker at all , but I can throw down a mean cookie! Cookies from a roll […]
10/28/2016Leave a comment I have flown in planes and I have been to the top of the Rocky Mountains, but I have never had the opportunity to touch a cloud, but I’d be willing to bet they taste like vanilla butter cream frosting! I have always been a fan of butter cream, I have always […]
08/10/202208/10/20221 Comment I know Fall is on the horizon, but I am not quite ready to let go of all those Summer flavors. With the help of my pal Vanessa, I have created this yummy cucumber side. Now mine is spicy because I used hot pepper vinegar, but you can easily add red pepper flakes, […]
We love Mexican Food! It really doesn’t matter if it is Beef, Chicken, Pork or Beans… we adore any Mexican food we can get. I have come to be a very well rounded Mexican Home Chef… this easy Crockpot® recipe will save you so much time and it is good anytime of the year… Hope […]
Key Lime Pie, it’s traditionally a custard pie made with key limes and eggs and simple goodness. However I wanted a No Bake version. Easy to make and with few ingredients. So here it is, my $4.56 Pie! Simple, affordable and so refreshing for this summer heat! It came together so well that I almost […]
Okay, just for the record, this probably isn’t a dish you want to make for Valentine’s Day… for obvious reasons. I have been eating french onion dip for as long as I can remember. I have bought it, and I have made it with those soup packets, you know the ones, but until a friend […]
Hubbyman Approved! One package Johnsonville™ Brats of any kind, I used Irish O’Garlic here. It’s easy really… just mix one sick of butter with 2 tablespoons honey and baste is as it grills… hard to call this a recipe really, it’s more of a little trick 🙂 It just adds a lil something….
